On June 1, 2019, Jordan and I made our greatest announcement to date: we’re expecting a little one this December!
Without a doubt, this has been one of the most difficult secrets to keep for the past two months, and we’ve nearly slipped multiple times. But, we managed to keep our baby bean under wraps until the very end of the first trimester, and we can’t wait to share our journey into parenthood!
As I’m writing this, I’m 13 weeks and 1 day pregnant, and a little baby bump has made its appearance under even my loosest fitting clothing. And, I can already be found resting a hand on or rubbing my belly absentmindedly, whether at home, out shopping, or sitting in a meeting. Jordan and I are just over the moon to be parents, and Jordan has been nothing but supportive and thoughtful throughout this entire experience thus far. The food aversions and exhaustion were real from week six onward, and he was nothing but mindful of what I could and couldn’t stand food-wise, and was so understanding when I was just too wiped out to function.
Now that we’re just a day or two away from starting the second trimester, my energy is back up and I’m starting to develop some strange cravings, especially around bedtime. But, that’s another story for another time.
Overall, Baby Donaldson is so loved already! Not only by us, but by our friends and family as well. We’re so thrilled to share more details of our pregnancy journey in the days, weeks, and months to come!
