My Workspace Essentials

April 7, 2018

Hey, hi, hello!

I know it’s been a minute since I’ve even considered updating this blog, but I come bearing good news (and an excuse for my prolonged absence): I recently got a promotion at work!

Although this change has been exciting to say the least, it also came at a time that was already pretty hectic. Regardless, I’m (finally) back and ready to dive back into creating content and sharing all of the new products I’ve fallen in love with over the past few months.

With that in mind, I think it only makes sense that I highlight some of the items I keep in my workspace every day. So, let’s take a look at my everyday desk essentials.

Kate Spade Large Agenda

To say I would be lost without my planner would be a massive understatement. Whenever I’m given an assignment or a random task pops into my mind, I make sure to write it down or put it into my Google Calendar as soon as possible. That’s where my Kate Spade Dahlia large agenda comes in. Not only is this pretty little number the perfect desk accessory, but it keeps me on top of my game as well.

Pro tip: If you’d like an agenda of your own, I strongly suggest picking it up during Kate Spade’s annual secret sale! I usually score mine for $15-$20, depending on shipping costs.

Hand lotion

Lancaster has been suffering from some pretty strange weather patterns as of late, meaning our office has been switching from heat to air conditioning at least twice a week. Naturally, my skin has been thrown completely out of whack from this, so I’ve been doing my best to care for my skin at home and work.

To achieve this feat, I’ve been relying on not one, but two hand lotions. The first is unscented Aveeno, which provides relief and moisture to my poor, cracked hands. Then, I follow that up with a dab of Warm Vanilla Sugar from Bath & Body Works, just for the scent. Some may call me extra for taking that additional step, but like…

Personalized decor

Nothing makes a desk feel like your own than adding a few small accessories. When I first started at my company, I picked up a little (fake) succulent (from my local TJMaxx) to spruce up my space. Now, I’ve added a small canvas quote, bright yellow notebook, and floral stapler to the mix, just to bring a bit more brightness and personality to my desk.

If you’re hoping to do the same, I would seriously recommend checking your local HomeGoods or Target — you’ll be sure to find enough accessories to fill not only your desk, but your neighbors’ as well.

Whether you’re moving on to a new company or simply looking to spring clean your surroundings, I hope this list of my personal essentials provided some inspiration! Feel free to share a photo of your desk in the comments below, or shoot me a message on Instagram.
